Classic Baby Back Ribs

Tender and flavorful Classic Babyback Ribs ribs cooked low and slow with a delicious BBQ rub and sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 rack of slab of babyback/pork loin ribs

  • BBQ rub of choice. Any store bought rub is fine along with any rub you like to make. SPG works as well

  • 2 tbsp mustard

  • The One or BBQ sauce of choice

RECIPE:

  1. Setup your weber kettle for indirect cooking. You can use the snake or minion method. (If using another smoker, prepare and preheat to 275).

  2. You can prepare your rack by removing the membrane from the back. Feel free to skip this step if you’d like. Apply 2 tbsp mustard to your ribs and slather over the entire rack. This will help our rub adhere.

  3. Season your rack with your bbq rub. Coat the entire rack. Let stand for 10 minutes to “sweat” and let the rub start to melt on your ribs.

  4. Place your ribs on your smoker on the opposite side of the heat and cook. After 45 minutes, you can spritz with water as needed if the ribs start to look dry. After 3-3.5 hours, when they are temping 190 internal,  apply your favorite bbq sauce. Let them cook for 10 minutes more so the sauce can set. Remove your ribs from your smoker, slice and enjoy!
