Shrimp n Grits

Shrimp n grits... if you don't love em, it's because you haven't had them made properly. With a little bit of seasoning and a whole lot of love, I guarantee you'll love this recipe!


  • 4 cups water or chicken stock

  • 1 cup grits

  • 8 cloves chopped garlic

  • 1/2 cup cheese

  • 1/2 stick butter

  • 1/2 cup cream

  • as many shrimps as you got

  • California Cajun rub (Salt, pepper, garlic and cayenne works fine too)

  • 3 tbsp W Sauce

  • 1/3 stick butter


  1. Bring water or chicken stock to a boil. Add in garlic and then whisk in grits.

  2. Lower hit and stir, whisk frequently for 40-50 mins.

  3. Remove from heat and whisk in cream, butter and cheese. Add salt if needed.

  4. Season shrimp. Cook about 2 mins per side.

  5. Add in butter, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Toss to coat.

  6. Serve over grits.
