Brisket Fried Rice

Brisket fried rice?! What's not to like! This is a delicious and easy way to use up some leftover brisket or whatever protein you have on hand! And yes I use MSG. IMO that flavor can't be replicated but if you don't want to use it, that's fine too!

Ingredients:

  • Leftover brisket

  • 3 tbsp. Peanut or vegetable oil

  • 5 cloves chopped garlic

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 leek, sliced

  • White rice

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp MSG

  • 1 green onion, green parts only

Make it:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp peanut oil in wok over medium-high heat. Add in eggs and scramble. Remove and set aside

  2. Add in remaining peanut oil and heat. Add in brisket, shallots and garlic. Fry 1-2 mins. Add in leftover rice. Toss and incorporate.

  3. Add in soy sauce, sesame oil and MSG, continuing to toss. Add in green onion and serve immediately!
