You can make these Honey Whiskey Wings grilled, use an air fryer, or pick your favorite cooking method. You just have to sauce 'em and toss 'em - and don't forget to have them with a side of whiskey!
INGREDIENTS:
1 package chicken wings
4 TBSP Kosmos Q Dirty Bird
1 cup Goldbar Whiskey
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Aleppo pepper (more if you want it spicier)
Salt and pepper to taste
RECIPE:
Season wings liberally with dirty bird rub. Place wings on pellet smoker at 400 degrees.
Place small saucepot on stove over medium heat. Combine 1 cup whiskey, 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup honey, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp Aleppo pepper and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer. Cook 5-10 minutes until incorporated and slightly reduced/thickened. Remove from heat.
After 25 minutes, flip your chicken wings and let them continue cooking for another 30 minutes or until crispy/charred to your liking.
Toss wings in sauce and serve immediately. Alternatively, you can brush wings with sauce while on grill or smoker.
(Note: I grilled my wings but you don’t have to. Cook them how you like, then sauce ‘em and toss ‘em!)
