Char-grilled lobster with lemon basil butter is on FIRE!
INGREDIENTS:
1-2 lobster tails
1.5 sticks unsalted butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons thin sliced basil
2 tablespoons “Baby Got Butter” rub
1 tablespoon Sonoma Gourmet Chili Olive Oil
RECIPE:
Split lobster tails down the middle and butterfly open. Carefully pull the meat away from the shell leaving it attached at the base of the tail. Take ½ stick of butter and divide into two equal slices. Place one slice on the shell under the meat, then return the meat back to the shell. Coat your lobster tail in chili olive oil and then season with “baby got butter” or rub of your choice.
Place lobsters onto a medium/high great flesh side down. Cook 2-3 minutes. While lobsters are cooking, combine remaining 1 stick of butter with fresh squeezed lemon juice and thin sliced basil. Stir to combine. After 2-3 minutes, flip lobsters to shell side.
Baste lobsters with lemon basil butter and cook 3-5 minutes or until lobster is cooked through and reached 135 degrees internal temp. Remove from the grill and pour any remaining lemon basil butter over the top. Enjoy!
